About us

Welcome to Elmvale

The Sweet Taste of Spring

Every year the town of Elmvale explodes in a celebration of Nature’s rites of Spring – the running of liquid gold – Ontario Pure Maple Syrup. The town transforms into a shoppers’ mall. With over 200 vendors offering maple syrup, food galore, book sales, collectible sales and other country treasures. Don’t miss the Sugar Shack information booth where you can get directions, as well as your copy of the Festival Directory.

All through the village, you will smell the delicious aroma of pancakes and sausages – our all day pancake breakfast, a must for all visitors. As you chow down on this delicious fare, enjoy the sweet sounds of Dusty Roads, The Mugs Band and musical talents from our many special guests.

On the Main Stage you’ll meet the Dignitaries, cheer them on during the log sawing contest and root for the firefighters while they participate in the pancake eating contest.
The whole family can visit the firefighters’ prevention booth, meet Sparky the Fire Dog and learn about fire safety.  Inside the arena treasures abound with so many arts & crafts.
Come on out to the charming village of Elmvale and experience our wonderful shops, boutiques and eateries and especially the Maple Syrup Festival.

Many of our 30,000 visitors have told us we’re One of  the Best Maple Syrup Festival in Ontario!

For 10 months we have been preparing for you. Now as the Big Day approaches the activity around town has shifted into high gear.
The Pancake House cooks are flexing their pancake flippers and firing up the griddles; the sugarshacks are bubbling and boiling with sweet, sweet syrup; and the crafters are putting on the finishing touches.
Our many hardworking volunteers are eager to start the day.

The Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival has been welcoming participants, groups, organizations, volunteers and tourists to the region each spring for more than five decades. With over 250 booths, entertainment, tours, contests, and delicious maple syrup products, it is no wonder that an estimated 30,000-40,000 visitors are expected to take in the best of what Elmvale has to offer again this year.

The Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival is an important fundraiser and economic driver in the community. Our maple syrup sector is strong and something that we are extremely proud of in Simcoe County.

We thank all the volunteers out there who make this festival possible. To those of you who are able to join us this year at the 56th Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival, thank you for coming and supporting our community and small businesses. The proceeds raised are directed right back into this amazing community.

Enjoy the sweetness of the Maple Syrup Festival and please plan to return next year.

Hello and welcome to the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival! I am so grateful to see this wonderful event return to the community of Elvmale for another year. This festival, which has become a hallmark of the community, helps bring together people from across our province to celebrate and enjoy our incredible local maple syrup producers!

As MPP for Barrie – Springwatwer – Oro-Medonte, it is my immense pleasure to take part in this event once more. I always enjoy coming out to Elmvale to enjoy the incredible sense of togetherness and that this community provides.

The Elmvale Maple Syrup festival is not just an opportunity for us to gather, but an opportunity to give back to this great community that we all know and love. Funds raised from the EMSF help to support our schools, music programs, library, arena and community hall projects, as well as the Girl Guides, Scouts, and may other projects that may not have adequate funding.

I look forward to celebrating the spirit of community in Elmvale with all of you today. As you enjoy the festival, please take time to thank all the volunteers, organizers, vendors, sponsors and partners. Without them, the Maple Syrup Festival would not be possible.

Thank you and have a wonderful time!
