We posted an announcement in October 2021 due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic. After numerous inquiries we will do so again. Even though some provincial restrictions have started to ease now. The Festival is volunteer run and takes months almost a year in advance to plan. This decision was not taken lightly. We appreciate your understanding. We have turned our attention to a come back festival for April 29th, 2023.

It’s that time again, spring is officially here, yay! And that means Maple Syrup. Despite the Festival being cancelled again this year. Our local maple syrup producers are busy in their sugar shacks boiling golden deliciousness. Jerry and I visited Tim & Peggy LaLonde yesterday at their sugar bush located on Flos Rd 8 Elmvale. We encourage you and your household(s) to take the opportunity to stretch your legs and visit a local producer. Many are open now, following all Ontario Health Guidelines, and ready to serve you.
We, the committee, are taking this time, to redesign the festival & vendor layouts to serve you, the vendors and our community more effectively.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back spring, 2022 .

Friday evening at the Variety Night Show we had the pleasure to honour Mr Louis Lefaive, EDHS Music Teacher for his acclaimed contributions to the festival. Delighted to announce the Maple Syrup Committee has created an annual EDHS graduation bursary in his name. Thank you for twenty tremendous years.

The 51st annual Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival has come to a close. The weather was phenomenal, and attendance was spectacular with record crowds. Many thanks to all our dedicated volunteers, vendors, local businesses, residents , visitors and Springwater Township for their continued partnership along with our local maple syrup producers. Without you we could not savour the sweet taste of success.
See you next year, our 52nd Annual on Saturday April 29th, 2017.
